Pure Encapsulations Magnesium (Glycinate)

Capsules, and where to find the liquid
This is the capsule version. If you arrived searching for liquid magnesium glycinate or magnesium glycinate drops, Pure Encapsulations make a liquid too and we stock it. It's a different product on a different page and it's probably the one you want.
Still here? Then the capsules are worth a look, because the form matters less than people think and capsules are cheaper per serving.
Why glycinate specifically
Magnesium bound to glycine. It's the form most often recommended for people whose stomachs don't tolerate other magnesium, because it's markedly less laxative than citrate or oxide. Glycine itself is a calming amino acid, which is part of why this form gets recommended for evening use.
If you've tried magnesium before and given up because of what it did to your digestion, glycinate is the form worth retrying.
Taking it
With or without food, whichever you'll remember. Evening suits most people. Check the elemental magnesium figure on the label rather than the compound weight if you're comparing against another product.
Pure Encapsulations leave out the fillers and binders common in cheaper magnesium, which is worth knowing if you react to those.
Space magnesium apart from medication, since it affects absorption of some drugs. Check with your doctor if you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication or managing a health condition.
