What's in this product

Lithium as lithium orotate, 5 mg per capsule, with N-acetyl-L-cysteine. One hundred and eighty capsules in a vegetarian capsule shell with ascorbyl palmitate and plant fiber.

Lithium occurs as a trace mineral in drinking water and in some foods, in small and variable amounts. The amount in a supplement like this is far below the dose used in prescription lithium, which is a different product entirely and is prescribed and monitored by a doctor.

How to take it

One capsule daily with a meal, or as directed by a health professional.

Important cautions

Not to be taken during pregnancy or while nursing.

Talk to your doctor before taking this if you take any prescription medication. That is not a formality here. Lithium interacts with a number of common drugs, including diuretics and ordinary over-the-counter painkillers, so it's genuinely worth a conversation rather than a guess.

If you are already prescribed lithium, do not add this. Speak to the doctor managing that prescription.
