Life-Flo Magnesium Lotion
Why a lotion instead of a capsule
Magnesium taken orally has a well known downside: at higher amounts it loosens your stomach well before you absorb much. Applying it to skin sidesteps that, which is the main reason topical magnesium exists.
The trade-off is that transdermal absorption is less studied than oral, and the research that does exist is mixed. If you want certainty about how much magnesium you're taking in, a capsule gives you a number and this doesn't. What it does give you is something you can put directly on the muscles you care about.
How to use it
Massage it into legs, shoulders or wherever feels tight. Evening works well for most people since it fits naturally into a wind-down routine.
A tingling sensation on first use is common, especially on freshly shaved skin or anywhere you've been in the sun. It usually settles after a few applications. If it doesn't, try applying less or using it on skin that isn't freshly shaved.
The unscented version
People search specifically for unscented, so worth being clear: this is the version without added fragrance. Eight fluid ounces.
Keep it away from children and check with your doctor if you're pregnant, nursing or taking medication.
