What NEM stands for

Natural Eggshell Membrane. It's the thin layer between the shell and the egg white, and it naturally contains collagen, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin and glucosamine together rather than as separate added ingredients.

That's the pitch against a standard joint supplement: instead of combining isolated compounds, you're taking a material that already contains them in the proportions they occur in nature.

The dose is smaller, and that's the point

Glucosamine and chondroitin products typically ask for 1,500 mg or more daily, often split across several large capsules. NEM is taken at 500 mg, once a day, in one capsule.

If you've abandoned a joint supplement because of the pill burden, that difference is the main practical reason to look at this one.

Give it time

Joint supplements work slowly across the board. Research on NEM generally measures at 30 to 60 days, so a two week trial tells you nothing.

Before you buy

This comes from eggshell, so it isn't suitable if you have an egg allergy. It's egg membrane rather than egg protein, but that isn't a distinction worth gambling on with a real allergy.
