Florajen Digestion Capsules
Why this one lives in the fridge
Florajen is refrigerated, and that's the main thing to know before buying. Live cultures survive better at fridge temperature, which is why you'll find these in a cooler rather than on a shelf.
Practically, that means ordering in summer needs a little thought, and it means keeping them in your fridge at home. They tolerate a few hours at room temperature during shipping, but a week on a warm counter is a different matter.
Taking it around antibiotics
The common reason people reach for this is after a course of antibiotics. If that's you, space the probiotic a couple of hours apart from the antibiotic dose. Taking them together means the antibiotic works on the probiotic organisms too, which wastes both.
Keep going for a few weeks after the course finishes rather than stopping the same day.
What to expect early on
Some people notice a bit of digestive noise in the first few days as things adjust. That usually settles within a week. If it doesn't, or it's uncomfortable, try taking it every other day to start and build up.
Sixty capsules. Check with your doctor before starting if you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or if your immune system is compromised, which is a genuine consideration with live cultures rather than a formality.
